Time magazine just finished their trash talk aganist black mayors. Carter G. Woodson talked about whites trying to maintain control over Black politicians way back in 1922.

    CHAPTER XXIV
    Political Reconstruction Undone

“WHETHER or not the Negro was capable, whether he was honest, however, had little to do with the white man’s attitude toward the negro officeholders. To produce evidence that the Negroes lacked these essentials, the whites well knew, would help them to justify themselves to the would help them to justify themselves to the world for using such harsh measures to overthrow the new regime. But the Negro was unacceptable merely because he was black, because he had not enjoyed the distinction of wringing his bread from the sweat of another’s brow. Government, as the southern man saw it, should be based on an aristocratic exploitation of the man far down. As the slaveholders had for centuries enjoyed this exclusive privilege, they could not but bear it grievously that it had been suddenly taken away.
Wherever they could, the native whites instituted government by investigation to expose all shortcomings of negro officials. The general charge was that they were corrupt”. -The Negro in our History p.409

The same old song now is still in full effect. If the whites don’t like a Black politician they sick their cousins (The media) to say they are corrupt so they can deceive them out of office.
