yep it's slow again so here goes...did you know that-although more well known the[APPOLLO THEATER]is not the first black theater the[HOWARD THEATER]holds that distinction...that before[MOTOWN]there was[VEE-JAY]in chicago,the first successful black owned record company...that the drifters classic[THERE GOES MY BABY]almost got ignored because the owners of[ATLANTIC RECORDS]thought it was a terrible song...that the great[NAT KING COLE]was known primarily as a jazz pianist until someone asked him to sing[NATURE BOY]in 1946...that the soul classic[SUNNY-BOBBY HEBB]wasn't about a girl but dedicated to his late brother...that berry gordy had mary wells sing her classic[BYE BYE BABY]over twenty times until she was hourse because that's the sound he wanted, well that's it for this time,but of course i'll be back when-IT'S A SLOW DAY.
