How long will it take for our people on a gobal basis to get out of the situation we presently find ourselves in? One could say that since it took us 400 hundred years to get in this situation that it may take us 400 to get out. As rational as that sounds, it just isn't true. It actually took us about 3,500 years to get into this situation...so will it take that amount of time on a global basis for the pendelum to swing back to where it was?

I thought this worthy of thought as I began to analyze the rate of change, of growth, of time and of history concerning our plight. Anyone have any feedback on this? Remember, we are not just speaking of our people in America or the western world, but on a global basis.

if we get a charismatic leader it could actually happen quite quickly.
you know, they tend to kill black leaders.

I answered a question simular to this a while back in different thread and my answer would coinside with the question "Why is Africa so poor" thread. We actually could better our condition globally rather quickly if Africa would unite as a continent for the betterment of Africa as a whole not just as individual nations. Here is the plan. All the nations of Africa would come together and form one government systems that would pool all Africa's wealth and resources and establish one currency. She could build 100's of universities dedicated to sole purpose of introducing the newest and most innovative technology in the fields of medicine, communications, electronics, robotics, agriculture, etc. Africa could establish an agency purely for the conservation of her history and heritage for all her nations. Africa could designate and promote fertile regions for the production of food to support the entire continent. Africa could recruit the finest minds worldwide of her displace children to come back and help in the endeavor to build a continent. I could go on and on with possibly 100's of ideas. Why start in Africa? Because a developed competive Africa would give Africans worldwide a choice to freely depart from the tyranny and oppression they are currently suffering. Displaced Africans would have a stable environment to thrive in and be who they were meant to be. Surprizingly with a concerted effort this done within a few generations. That is relatively fast considering the depth of which we have fallen. All it would take is maxium dedicate, determination, calculated planning, persistance and perseverance and we could have this thing turned around in no time....

    Peace....

Unfortunately, the disasters of Hurricane Katrina didn't awaken us enough. We will have to face the man/woman in the mirror. For every effort we make to unite, there are twice as many made for our dissention. Perhaps the teaching of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad ought to become the international theme for Blacks worldwide. Too bad so many Black people are ashamed of the truth this humble man bestowed upon us. I started a thread titled: "Black Reconciliation Week". Look into the 'Open Forum' section, only a few responses, but hey, it's a start. Surely this won't happen overnight, with the exception of a mass mind control experiment:(

Well, as most of us already know, here's a list of "what we ain't gon do":

    1) praise materialism
    2) interracial marriage
    3) oow births
    4) disrespecting one another
    5) pour money into every community except our own
    6) spend money before we get it
    7) put another beauty image before our own
    8) buy an extremely expensive car without the incentive of becoming a home owner
    9) spread personal issues to other races who already feel superior to us
    10) think deep before we act. If somethings worth doing, it's worth doing well

(only because this is where these words appeared; not directed at you, Elder James.)

Life doesn't really need "leaders": Life Knows how Life Works.

unfortunately, humans still tend to think in terms of human vs nature(Life). even worse, they(we) still haven't gotten to the point where all humans are considered human.

as far as specifically relating to "african americans" ... <sigh> ... or, for that matter, the whole notion of "colored americans" - it's gonna be a very long time before we even get to a starting point!! having accepted the racist labeling of "african american", "mexican american", "chinese american", without "requiring" "german american", "danish american", "norwegian american", we very probably won't get anywhere any time soon. (sometimes i gotta wonder if this is the "win" we pulled out of the "civil rights movement"?)

thanks for pointing out that it's been much more than 400 years; that's the american viewpoint - and americans, regardless of skin color, do love to tout themselves as being something other than the rest of "our people" around the planet. although it does seem as if some of the other "colored humans" around the planet do tend to think of their kin in other countries as being of the same "family".

This is one of the most focused, insightful, probing and pertinent questions I'VE run across on the internet anywhere, in a long time.

However, I AM curious....specifically at what rate of change, considerations of growth, time and or of history had YOU considered in analytical hypothesis/equations (if any,) and by what standard did YOU find them relative to application regarding any potential theories, or in relation to OUR plight as a People?

The reason I ask this, is because the simple, yet singularly willful act of criminal debasement entrusted and perpetrated in/to voluntary acts if barbarianism toward OUR People, to date has been the sole culprit/vehicle

in exacting itself as the clear misery of OUR People.

And such acts are not scientific.*

Also baring in mind, that nowhere in history (since the industrial "revolution,") has "knowledge," travel, communication, opportunistic criminality/character depravity ect; been more accessible or numerous to the peoples of this earth, than they are now.

**For example, this is what he asserts "science" is:

The "roots" of analytical science are to be found in the Greek culture. "Without the analytical habit which had been kept alive by Euclid's Elements and Aristotle's writings, Kepler, Galileo, and Newton, as well as all the great men of science that came later, would have had to join the Sino-Indians in contemplative and casual observation of nature. To the extent to which we may turn history around in thought, we may reason that without the peculiar love the Greeks had for Understanding, our knowledge would not by far have reached its present level; nor would modern civilization be what it is today. For better or for worse, we have not yet discovered one single problem of Understanding, that the Greek philosophers did not formulate." [after Georgescu-Roegen p. 38:] Unluckily we have to ad, that most of the really vital problems, already formulated by the Greek, have not been solved. Especially the question on how society develops or should develop and how the individual should act. Those questions, for development the most important ones, can't be tackled by causal analysis, as there are no other societies or planets where similar processes might be observed.

newton? aristotle? (and) The "great men of science" that came "later?"

Surely if he can promote this....ANYTHING on this "superhighway"

    of uncertainty is now possible.

    Again Professor Gabriel Oyibo (GAGUT)

has already changed the world BACK to ANCIENT DAYS of BLACK RULERSHIP,

it's just a matter of time until the "tail catches up with the dog."

    ROARIN.......

The key to coming out of this situation is UNITY.
Infact, our ability to unite will also determine HOW LONG it will take for us to repair ourselves.

But in order for there to be unity, we must all be on the same page and share similar goals, visions, and principles. We don't have to be clones of one another, but we do have to share certain common ideologies of what is and isn't acceptable.

Can't have one group who is opposed to out-of-wedlock births and insist that all people get married before they have children.

Then another group says all births are fine and a father is not needed in the home.

    There's gonna be a conflict.

One group permits anybody between the ages of 15 and 75 to have sex with eachother regardless of age.
It's all good and in love.

Another group says people should only have sex with those within 5 years of thier age range....anything else is sick.

Well, there's gonna be a conflict between the individuals of those groups.

I see these kinds of conflicts jumping off all the time because different people were brought up with differnet values.

We first need a common understandings among eachother, and then once those understandings are established....they need to be RESPECTED.

Unless somebody broke the law, leave them alone and let us build together.
