    If only she could get
    Loose from her chains.
    Then she could make
    That necessary change.

    The sign on her forehead
    Reads "I am lonely".
    None can see it,
    But this man only.

Tonite he will make it in
To get what appears to him,
    To be a sexual dividend.

She will give him special attention
    During the moments preceding.
She trust and hope, but he is
    Only there for a feeding.

Like a snake with planned attack,
    He slithers his way into
Her as she lies on her back.
As he thrusts himself back and forth,
    There is no love involved.
The void that they both carry is
    Still left unresovled.

    He may boast with pride
That he has gotten a piece,
But if he would face his heart,
He will know he has no peace.

    This woman...this man, are
    Both spiritually ill,
    Trying to relieve an emptiness
    That only Jesus can fill.

All over the world so many of us
    Live without Jesus.
    Never realizing that the
Lust of our flesh will never please us.

    I definitely agree

and am feelin' this piece! And what's ironic about this is how we seem to feel empty after sexual intimacy has taken place ...even a sort of 'shame' or 'disgrace' comes in to play ~

    Well scribed thoughts/realities poetess!

    Thank you for sharing this!

In agreement with you and N2...the Creator placed within us a void only He can fill...and too many times we believe the pleasures of the body will satisfy, in our search for 'love'. But if we tap into the Source of Love...for our true healing...we would never even consider a conterfeit ~ feeling.

Let s/he that hath an ear, hear.

I'm listening this morning, Joyce! Amen

    the sacredness of love

is lost among our society. But that is the reason why the foundation must be laid properly in the home. But if home is where hatred and misunderstanding is...there is no foundation. And so the cycle continues...and the sacredness of love is lost among this society. I am from Africa, and I have 4 daughters. And although I have not been perfect in my day; I don't play that. My daughters know what is expected and what to REQUIRE. And if I had sons, they would know the same. I have seen what confusion in the home can do.

    Thanks Ms D

I have been here and it is a very empty and unfulfilling position to be in.

a sad but truthful piece..the search to be fulfilled in a place that can offer no fulfillment....sometimes it takes us so long to realise that the road we travel as we search, is an endless one..so we have to stop, analyse and recognise what it is we are searching for...then we find inner peace...powerful...
