Please read the post over! I stated unity as they did in Nigeria to lower the oil prices! Nkhrumah was imprisoned for attempting to enact a national strike. The Master plan is simple unity, if folks can unite in one of the most divisive nations for something small, dont you think that from nation to nation they can unite for mutual protection and development?
I read the post several times. What is the basis for unity? Dr. Clarke also said that there is no solution outside of PanAfrikanism. That is a POLITICAL ideology first and FOREMOST that is still confusing to a lot of us. Until we come together on the basis of a crystal clear political ideology, unity will continue to be quite elusive! And since we are talking about Dr. Clarke, consider this, Dr. Clarke also said that your choice of a mate should be a revolutionary political statement, and that your former slave masters' daughter/son can't make that statement! :) Unity is not as easy to achieve as you seem to think! Why are the Afrikans in Nigeria killing each other over the oil wealth? Why do so many of the people in that country live in poverty with all of that wealth? Answer, they have strayed from the Afrikan way! Muslims killing Christians over racist theologies. PanAfrikanism is the only political ideology that has united us on a mass scale. Witness Marcus Garvey and the Garvey Movement, which was destroyed by the INTEGRATIONIST-ASSIMILATIONS inside and outside of his UNIA! He should never have comprised and used the name Negro in the name of his organization! He should have stuck to his guns, no pun intended, and used the name Afrikan like he planned. That way he could have easily separated the Negroes from the Afrikans and been more successful!;)

P.S. There is no getting around the need for the CULTURAL revolution or revival, which is the prerequisite for the social revolution! I just finished watching the discussion between Dr. Molefi Asante and Kwame Toure on PanAfrikanism, and Afrocentricity again. I find myself more in agreement with Dr. Asante. ;)

Beloved brother, this is where we may be getting the disconnect in clarity of communication, between Africans on the continent and Africans who have been kidnapped and dragged here against our will , raped and castrated from basically all aspects of our Africaness, except common sense, love for family and community, a sense of unity and our Blessing of Blackness.
No boring history lecture about what we went through in slavery, after no language, no religion of our ancestors, not being able to recall our ancestors, our geneology, or any aspects of our culture, we left the plantations with nothing; absolute zero!
Only the emotional and physical scars of the worst crime in the history of the world, and the rags on our backs, no posessions whatsoever and stepped out into a hostile hateful racist world with no where to go, yet in only 35 years after Emancipation, we created loving communities , with respectful teens eager to go to school and college, who many become inventors, teachers, leaders, and polticians

so that part of African history should tell every African, that
there aint a darn thing easy and as long as you are Black there is no limit to what you can accomplish, so the term easy, has no place in the conversation at all and the struggles and accomplishments we have achieved in this wilderness, tells us that nothing worth anything is easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You say poltical ideology is the basis of unity;....whose political ideology??? Chosen by the masses??? or enforced on them by someone who says "Oh you proletariat are too stupid to thin k on your own" That is what the White man did and that was the basis of the problem!!!

No there can be no ideology whatsoever unless the people agree on what that ideology or poiltical philosophy will be, but as I say and as you look in the mirror, the most basic form of unity is Black!

We can all unify by virtue of our Blackness and living in nations controlled by one percent interested rulers!

I apologize to brother ABSiblings, but I merely stated the same thing and that I would give my life to save his wife and child even though I have never seen him , just based on the fact that he is a good Black African brother! Plain and simple, so I really do not see what the issue is!

No one is saying folks have to give up thier tribe , or religion, that will never happen! Or thier nationalaity! IMHO there will never be a United States of Africa , but there should be an internal Black African united Collective based on the input of the grassroots not the priveleged classes! With each and evey nation nationalizing their resources and charging heavy, heavy tarriffs to all who seek to import , stuffs goods and products made within that respective nation.
Then with the billions and trillions from that nationalization ; each one help one , each nation help each nation to end starvation and poverty, and want! Each one help one and all to achieve and develop Africa's greatest resource, the genius of the Black African child in every child so that there will be a Black silicon valley, and a Black green technology valley and a Black inventors valley, so that once again as it was thousands of years ago the Intellectual resources, protected by a united Africa and at top dollar would be sought s much as her gold diamonds platinum and oil! And that no nation in the world would be able to purchase an inch of African land , without the consent of an oversight committee of 40 nations! And water never!

We tried to "unify by virture of our Blackness..." That's what the Black Power Movement was all about wasn't it? It didn't work because there were to many different interpretations of "Black". Dr. Clarke brought a lot of clarity when he said that we have overused the term Black. That Black tells you what you look like but not who you are. That some ignorant European took an adjective, and turned it into a noun! He also taught that the name of a people should ALWAYS reflect land, history, and culture. The word Black does not do that. That if the name you are called by does not so reflect, you have been called out of your name!:( I think you underestimate the power of history and culture. We can't afford to keep making that mistake. An Afrikan centered consciousness is the first step towards unity. That consciousness must be deeply rooted in a sound understanding of, and respect for Afrikan Culture, not European culture! Finally a question, is Clarence Thomas Black? Would he and his white wife be welcome in this "Black African united Collective"?

P.S. I have never found any lecture on any part of Afrikan history boring! Painful sometimes, but never boring. And we were not robbed of everything. Most of us retained our AFRIKAN HUMANITY!!! ;) Everybody claims "grassroots", I claim COTTONROOTS! :) And you haven't answered my question about Clarence Thomas!

It didnt work because it was destroyed by COINTELPRO! But what does that have to do with racial unity on the continent? Can you deny that Afrocentricity is as much needed on the continent as it is here? if Africans dont feel like uniting cause they, are dont feel that they all Black folks catching the same hell from the same White Supremist Globalists, something that is so obvious then what? Why not be able to unite on what is so obvious?
