    some call them selves Americans
    but they speak EngLIsh fluently

    ?

    who is black?
    black is inherently
    a
    color...an abstract non-tangible
    entity...

    who is african?
    only those from the womb
    of all
    humankind?
    or those that are seeds
    from a beautiful flower dissiminated
    by inhumane winds
    planted in the soils
    that are indigenous to
    NATIVE americans...

we are a great AFRICAN people

    whose roots dig deep
    within the human psyche
    telling those that we
    are so GREAT that
    they hate us

    while loving us...

    check the trends

    ..........................................brainchange.........................

    brothers sisters denounce defy
    and degrade themselves putting
their african ness on back shelves
to hide behind messages of self hate
not understanding why we debate on
    reparations...can't feel the frustration...
behind mass demonstrations /even when we riot/
and burn **** / assuming all things are good cause they
no longer stay among the boys in the hood
but among the "suburbanites" still putting up
a fight to be "liked" by neighbors who
moved out the city to avoid your "black"ness

now you sleep with mental lights on to avoid the dark
    ...of who you are...

the game has got 'em phucked up in the game...

    shaz,

true. we are not EXACTLY African if that's what you're getting at but our spirits or essence is African. we can not be duped into thinking that because we are born in America we are totally accepted by Americans.

I feel ya, blak! Glad you reposted this!
Spittin' much truth. It is so much
easier to love one another when we
can love ourselves for who we are.
    For "all" that we are.
    Peace to ya!
