There isn't any room for visitors,
passers-by, or lovers
my body does not seek
to be in their comfort today

This cast holds it's own
fingerprints from being hung
on rusted nails
displayed on this inside
of a closet
to hide 'self' from any
unwanted guests

I often look in me
trying to find sanity
in the vanity of my frame
and I must do this before
leaving the confines of
my own home

While getting dressed I
break into pieces just to
***** with your image
waiting for you to
collect yourself--
pull it all back together
so that you will remember
in seven more years
who made you...
even if right now
your life appears
shattered
