They once where Queens

Queens they once where
Now subdued to
******* and hoes
Dancing in music videos
Shedding of cloth dancing
Almost naked
Looking like women
On street corners
Selling themselves for less
Then they are worth

Sending subliminal messages
To little girls
Telling them
Be like me
Dance like me
Dress like me
Making them forget
Their full potential
Cause it’s not needed

They where once Queens
Sitting on thrones
Commanding armies
We gladly submitted
To her royal ways
Knowing that she
Would show us
Strength
Love
Divinity

She was Isis
Better known as Sheba
Better yet Makeda
She was Nefertiti
Nefertari
Cleopatra
Candace
She was Nandi mother of
The warrior prince
Shaka Zulu
She was Amina Queen of Zaria

Living to their full potential
Leading people to prosperity
Victory
And abundance
Women of power
Queens to the fullest
Prostitutes to none
But it’s a shame
How women today
Forgot their ways

How sad it is
Seeing beauty
Taking a role
To the back seat
How MTV
BET
VH1
Slowly raped their minds
Not showing women of power
Like Condilisa
Oprah
And Hillary

Life has more substance
When women know their worth
Standing here
Longing for my queen
Only to be subjected
To images on TV
That life imitates
Making women less
Then queens

But never forget
They once where Queens
And soon they will be again
Once they realize
Their true purpose
On this earth
When Queens arise
And walk up right
I, man will bow…

They once where Queens
