They left the coffeehouse
but the jazz remained in their mind
as the two headed for the ferry
they envisioned music of a different kind
Hand in hand they boarded the boat
and they each looked out at the ocean
she was a bit nervous
he was filled with emotion
She said she was so glad they
were together....her voice shook a tad.
He didn't notice that she was ill at ease
because he wanted to kiss her so bad.
As the vessel left the dock, the wind was
brisk, they embraced each other tightly.
They swayed to the tune they last heard
in the cafe, as the moon serenaded them brightly.
Just to be able to hold him, almost made her
heart skip a beat.
She wanted to kiss him right then and there
but alas, she had such cold feet.
As they held each other, the warmth between
them simply could not be denied.
She felt so good, he squeezed her tighter
and in unison they both sighed.
They entered their own world amongst the
other passengers, caught in each others eyes.
Spellbound were they as their lips touched
a passionate kiss, under star speckled skies.
