Black Poetry : There

[Amun-Ra]

Into delighted darkness,
a chimera of thought takes hold
and on the soft breeze of summer’s night
the moment’s question will unfold.
An interrogative that barely waits,
for civility and manners make it so.
Yet, the question burns the tongue;
as my pleading ears want to know.
Please forgive me for my reticence,
but it is not simple to lay a soul laid bare.
So, I say this with sweet passion’s truth
and ask you, “can I touch you there?”

It was a thought

This question crossed my mind on numerous occassions when I fell in love and wanted to move on to the next stages--I never forgot my manners--although some would condemn me for it and say just go for it--I always wanted to be invited--Ra
