There was a time when you broke my heart
    But I still love you
There was a time when you hurt my feelings
But I still care for you
There was a time when you disappointed me
But I am still there for you
Cause that is the friendship we have built
    We have found
    We have formed
The foundation was stronger than I ever thought it could be
    I wish nothing for you
    But happiness
    Love
    And greatness
There was a time when you became nothing to me
    I am still your everything
There was a time when your voice was the last thing I wanted to hear
I am still your sounding board
There was a time when your very presence was a thorn in my side
    I am still your friend
Forgiveness is found deep within our friendship
    Never to be lost
    Always to be cherished
    Nurtured
    Respected
There was a time when I loved you
    And after all this time
    I still do
