The word "Zionist" originally comes from the 19th century and it refers to the people who wanted to create a homeland for Jews. But opposing the Zionists ideology is not opposing setting a homeland for Jews, but rejecting stealing the Palestinian lands.
But now Zionism doesn't stand for the simple concept of a homeland for Jews; it has turned into the violent, brutal takeover of Palestine, and the slaughter of Arabs, using the United States and Europe to fund Zionist wars. The Zionists carried out numerous terror attacks against the Palestinians; attacks that are not less horrific than September 11 attacks that drew worldwide sympathy for the American nation.
Zionism calls for taking the Arabs' lands to set a Jewish state by force and that’s the core of the war that has been going between the Palestinians and the Middle East on one hand, and the Israelis and the Americans on the other. Thus Zionists are everybody who takes part in or supports the phenomenal crimes committed against the Palestinians in the name of creating Israel.
Contrary to what most of us believe, Jewish anti-Zionism is not restricted exclusively to the well-known Jewish anti-Zionist movements "Satmar" and "Neturei Karta." There are numerous organizations and movements that oppose the Zionists ideology. Their views regarding the "State of Israel" are that of the unadulterated Torah position that any form of Zionism is heresy, and that the existence of the so-called "State of Israel" is illegitimate.
Antagonism naturally exists between Zionism and the Torah - Judaism itself can never tolerate the heresy of Zionism. Fighting Zionism has no direct or indirect link to religion or Judaism; people of all races, religions, and nationalities oppose and reject Zionism. There are even Jews and Rabbis opposing Zionism. According to the Torah, Zionism is wrong, not simply because many of its adherents are lax in practice or even anti-religious, but because its fundamental principle contradicts the Torah. An excerpt from Rabbi Avigdor Miller’s book, Sing, You Righteous supports the same views:
"Actually, the State of Israel solves nothing. All 'problems' remain the same, and new ones are created. For example:
1) The Arabian lands have been rendered uninhabitable for Jews;
2) constant wars with neighbors must be waged, incurring huge military expenditures and loss of many lives, in addition to constant peril;
3) it has exacerbated Jew-hatred in the nations, due to Arab influence and also to embroilment with the foreign policy of the nations;
4) and the proponents of the State of Israel – attempt to kindle a fire under the Jews in all lands in order to make their position untenable so that they emigrate to augment the population of the new State. (For example, Ben Gurion's statement in the NY Times (4/22/'63):
"Jews are in truth a separate element in the midst of the peoples among whom they live an element that cannot be completely absorbed by any nation. for this reason no nation can calmly tolerate it in its midst."
Zionism is not Judaism, and thus opposing Zionism is not opposing Judaism. Opposing Zionism is rejecting the concept of creating Israel by the use of force and violence; by stealing the Arabs’ lands and killing Palestinians. It is opposing all of the Zionist crimes.
