    in silence

    meditation loomed like darkened shadows
    in gloom-filled rooms of aloneness

globs of nothingness swept over me
as i stood...high on the hill top
    where the sun drops
and the mountain goat roams no more

    beating across my face
    were ominous chills
spilling over from days long ago
when darkness was the zoot suit
    my soul wore

i could taste the seaweed spell
riding the airwaves from the ocean's floor

    like me,
    the winter's moon stood still
as the chill from the night filled ocean's breeze
    sank its teeth in me

    the winter's moon stood full
its reflection rippled across the ocean's face
motioning for me to join her

    i could not concur

    the winter's moon stood bright
as the ills of the night
took flight in the stillness of its solitude
    and
    one
    by
    one
    they digested the other
    'til...

    the winter's moon stood alone

perched atop a mountain of darkness
    looking out upon its aloneness

    the winter's moon

    SOMETIMES...

we choose the craziest things to lose ourself in...as waves of nostalgia crush our NOW. the weight of this onslaught forcing us to focus on one particular point in the multiverse. the moon was that point...for me.

    THANKS for feeling me, peeps.

This is a great read..... one where you could curl up in a chair, cup of hot cocoa, nestled with a throw cover - while reading!

    Nice scribe poet!

    then...

    let the fire blaze
    in the fire place
in the wee hours of the night
    when silence looms
and the only sounds in the room
are the crackling of the fire
    ...the bristling of turning pages
and the breathing sounds you make
as you take in the scenes
    and dreams
    of the river's flow.

    GLAD YOU LIKE IT, N2.:)
