Black Poetry : the wild part

A wise woman once told me
- there's a wild part of you that's never been touched -
she's correct
sometimes
I feel a trace
hear a whisper....
velvet seas of
emotion
unbridled laughter
emancipation
joining the others
wide open sky
made only to fly
allowing, even celebrating
union and pleasure
love not out of
the question but
the answer....
yet
the wild is buried
underneath no and
I don't want to need
beneath anger and
I don't believe
below distrust and
apathy
so far down it's
not a priority
rarely, though,
I do feel curiosity
