"Perhaps no statistic better illustrates the enduring legacy of our country’s shameful
history of treating black people as sub-citizens, sub-Americans, and sub-humans than
the wealth gap," the Atlantic's Ta-Nehisi Coates wrote in his masterful essay, "The
    Case for Reparations
."That gap, enormous and awful as it already was, has been
growing since the recession. Last week, the Pew Research Centerreported that the
median white household was worth $141,900, 12.9 times more than the typical black
household, which was worth just $11,000. In 2007, the ratio was 10 to one. The divide
between white families and Hispanics was similar.

Depressing as those numbers sound, they may actually be a bit too upbeat. Pew is arguably overstating black wealth.

    I
This is why those of us living in the white man world need to excel at whatever we do.

I believe and it's supported by a plethora of data if your the best at something you are royally paid accordingly.

In sports for example we have seen the likes of Pele, Michael Jordan, Brian Lara......all being handsomely more than their white peers.

This could be applied to any sector of employment. We live in a society where market forces dictate. No organisation is going to pass up on the best candidate because of colour. Having a competitive advantage is key and paying for the best is fundamental to this aim.

I am not knocking your post just highlighting again why we need to push our kids harder to strive harder for success. Don't get me wrong we will always have to be twice as good as them to get the top job but that's the life and history of blacks.

    Most politicians are con men.

    The answer is unity.

Communities that don't vote all have similar problems. Politicians don't put money and services into those communities.

I was listening to a talk show out of baltimore. Talk show personality, darren muhammad talked about how one doesn't
see koreans in the voting lines on election day, that instead he see's them at city hall giving checks/donations to the politicians.
And in so doing, the korean community was able to get some things that they wanted. Don't know the problems that they have
to be similar to other communities that do not vote. I do know problems associated to communities with weak, and or no,
    economic infrastructure.

    Koreans stick together.

You don't see Koreans always publically castigating Korean men like black men do.
