Beware...the veil is a curse

Oh lacy veil, of exquisite woven cloth.
You're not a mere temptation, it's worse.
I looked upon you for vanity sake,
only to discover that you're a curse.
An incantation randomly executed.
A hex no soul can break.
A spell thats been around so long,
it makes your ancestors shake.
Are you the voodoo doll, that gets stabbed,
or the piercing pins thrust in?
You cause unexplained writhing, and pain.
To cause so much suffering is a sin.
The number thirteen, you are.
Settling on a Friday, of course.
A day that Murphy's Law comes to pass,
it will go wrong, just consider the source.
You are the millions of glass shreds
from the shattered mirror, broken.
Forty years of bad luck,
the veil in detail has spoken.
There's no potion that can be swallowed,
no trance that one can induce,
no charm that can be worn,
only God above can possibly deduce
a solution to this horror.
Get down on your knees
NOW
And pray....

Beware, the veil is a curse.....
