    The Tumbling Light

In the deep, deep dark, my brain flashes sight
-of a garden in a forest
-where the trees sway in chorus
    -dropping tiny stars that fluoresce
and Ideas that hide in shadows reach to catch one tumbling light.

They merge linked in combination prodding Man's Imagination
to write on tapestry weaved from birth his dreams and hopes thus far
so if in Life his pen runs inkless can be read how unrelinguished
were beliefs he once found sinless blinks on tumbling stars.

Their Divine Inspiration is the heat that flames creation
into making Man cross silvern stars which span the Heaven’s sea
and from its brink back cosmic reach his hand that holds the lights that teach-
“Settle not for what you see but to envision what can be”.

Once launched, they glint and glimmer, these Ideas now spectral hot,
    -poking free the mind's detention,
    -prompting Fate's proclaim to mention
    -that Ideas cause Man's ascension,
not his status, wealth or money, nor his claims of things he's got.

Harry, this was EXQUISITE! Your descriptive language in this sets an imagery that is almost palpable! It made me want to reach out and touch those stars or at least be bathed in their twinkling showers!

Thank you for that! This line is my lesson for the day and my new mantra!

So, true! This line reminded me of an old quote: “Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people”

The wealth of our minds that remains untapped, oh what would occur should these ideas ever see the light of day. As per your usual, your writing is laden with interwoven ideas that make us fathom the possibilities. Thank you for this brother poet.

Cherry Blossom – Having assisted in the adoption of a lesson for this day and a new mantra for the ones to come with an option of bathing in their twinkling showers puts a smile on my face. Now you got me feeling like a tumbling light too. Somebody catch me. Thanks CB for your words. Namyh

Miss Lady – I don’t believe anyone could better create a punctuated capsulization of enjoyment like “Whoa”. It says it all and I thank you for it Miss Lady. Namyh

Rich – Everything ever made was an idea first and indeed where would we poets be without the refreshment of new ideas for new poetic works, even when we often frustrate waiting for their arrival. I firmly believe that it isn't blood that runs in the poet's veins. It's Ink ! It may come from a computer or it may come from a pen but it makes the poet's Ideas tumble real by words. Glad to be one provocateur among provocateurs who write poetic stuff. Thanks Rich
