i'm getting tired of living in this screwed up world,
thinking one day that things are gonna change,
when in reality a lot of things are gonna stay the same,
its bad huh?
how we let the word n*gga flow from our mouths like water,
so called men talking bad about their baby mommas,
but at the same time they claim they care for their daughter,
little girls in the streets living life fast,
thinkin they the sh*t because they done gave up some a**,
black folk still findin it hard to congratulate their own kind for tryna do right,
dam people when are we gonna step into the light?

still tryna blame the white man for our lack of education,
or our criminal records,
sittin around with our lips poked out,
wondering why when the other race pass by they stick up their snouts,
how can we expect someone to respect us,
when we can't even respect ourselves,
what is wrong with my people today?
throwing their lives away.

i'm getting tired of living in this screwed up world,
thinking one day that things are gonna change,
when in reality a lot of things are gonna stay the same,
don't you know that time is of essence?
so when are we gonna learn our lesson?
every night i pray to god for a blessing,
i ask him to save my people!!!!
