Sista FINE1952,

That is a treasure of insight. Thanks.

It is astonishing the depth of spiritual meaning that is lost when we try to look at scripture as an historical and literal document. But then the true spiritual message of scripture takes power away from the preacher and gives it to the people. How can you convince folks to give you ten percent of their income if they know that the wisdom they have is as much the word of God as anything you could say?

I find that it is hard to get the spiritual meaning in any book, bible or otherwise, because by the time it is written doen it has collected so much of the ideas of man that the word of God has to be hunted for diligently. Then after all the digging and scatching and burning the midnight ail we find that what we have gleened is no more than what our own hearts had already witnessed to us to be the truth.

...know that the truth has been stretched from Black Antiquity into the African Egyptian documents into the Greek language and then:

200ad -- Latin & Syrian
300ad -- Coptic (remnants of Ancient Egypt)
400ad -- Ethiopian, Gothic, and Georgian
500ad -- Armenian
600ad -- Latin Vulgate = Douai-Reims Version, Nubian
700ad -- Arabic
800ad -- Anglo-Saxon
900ad -- German, Slavonic, Frankish
1200ad -- French
1300ad -- Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Icelandic
1400ad -- English, Czech, Danish
1516ad -- Desiderius Erasmus published a version that contained
original Greek from Hebrew translation
1522ad -- Martin Luther, published New Testament in German
1534ad -- Martin Luther, published both Old/New Testament
1611ad -- Tyndale's Version became authorized King James Version
1945ad -- Ronald Cox translation, catholic
1960ad -- The Revised Standard Version & The New English Bible
1970ad -- The New American Bible
1989ad -- The New Revised Standard Version

However, you should know and expect that phonological and etymological errors have and did occur along the way. But, know that deeply buried under all the ruble is "...the secret knowledge that the Bible is an African theosophical..." masterpiece of inspiration, spirituality, hope, faith, love and pride. I've found that the use of the Strong's Concordance clearly brings the former Hebrew/Greek words to their true light.
