We have been misled by a flawed world map for 500 years
PETER’S PROJECTION WORLD MAP
Right You Are....
This is big information, thanks, I can't say enough about coming here and seeing this today. Also I want to point up that the globe maps are upside down. I know it may look right but the Southern Hemisphere should be on top. Why? Because the Southern Hemisphere receives the most Sunlight which is vital to life.
Here's an upside down map to show you my point. European was always referred to in Ancient times as the bottom of the Earth, not the top. But they changed it with their mapping of the world.
I had heard about this. I didn't know what it meant.
Here is how I got my lead. The Organization of Cartographers for Social Equality were portrayed on the show..."The West Wing" Season 2 Episode 16 in that program they discussed the Peters map and how the Hemispheres are reversed and misrepresented.
Map of Europe, showing south at the top
A map's orientation is a trivial technical matter and therefore the cartographic literature barely discusses it. As a psychological matter, however, at least one study suggests that the prevailing north-up convention has influenced people to think of north as "good" and south as "bad".
Again thank you, I spoke on this issue before pertaining to globe map incorrections but you made it a central more important point. Europeans are resisted to ever correcting anything their ancestors have done to that today gives them enormous advantage. This is why we must build our own world in Africa, they will never change their bad behavior. There isn't even a movement amongst them seriously to deal with their racism which is a product of them not the world.
I'm confused here...The link that Hodee posted is it reality? Were all those Countries, and Continents(Asia, Europe, Etc) originally a part of a Africa?
Those countries are placed inside the picture of Africa only to depict the relative size of the continent. This post was about how the maps do not show how large Africa really is.
