Cool wet sand forms the shape of my feet
As I stand watching the movement of the sea
Evening tides crash against my legs
    Then, as if by magic
The great sea retreats into the vastness

I am in awe of simple things
    Steady things
Like the sea and its tide
Since the first wave of a new earth
The tide rolls in…the tide rolls out
    Every day
    All day
    Simply
    Steadily
Strong winds only accelerate the pace
    But the movement goes unchanged

I wish to be as the tide
    Consistent
    Unmoved by a curious atmosphere
On my course in spite of a jealous moon
A tide unflattered by the warmth of a teasing sun
    Steady

    Arriving whole
    A wave of many dimensions
    Leaving almost instantly
    Making its mark
From shore, to shore, to shore

this gives me the most beautiful imagery...of beauty, of serentity..

a vision of a woman standing there, gown flowing around her legs, windblown hair, arms stretched to heaven, waiting for him to lift her to a higher place..drifting ...waiting to find her purpose in life..

I've read this about 5 times BE..it gives me a feeling of peace just to read it..
