Its been a while since I’ve hit these threads with my lines
Been moving through life’s ups and downs and fronts and backs

Trying to stay focus in order to achieve this and that
These white folks think they can hold me back
But a sista like me aint tryin to hear that

You see Im a starter not a bench rider
Waiting for my opportunity to bat
They think they gonna break me well I have news for them
Their politics don’t faze me
As a matter of fact

The more they try to shake me they are only empowering me
Feeding me the energy to move on to the next level
My corporate game is better than ever
I shake them haters off like my finger flicks a feather
Those blue eyed devils think they are clever

But I will never, never, never
Be held hostage to them because I’m not afraid
And this aint no slave trade where they can just pick
The black they think is gonna haul the heaviest sack on their back

If you think your playn’ me, open your eyes
So you can really see whats going on
I’m not just a pretty face Im intelligent and strong

So while your smiling in my face and plotting behind my back
I have already executed my defense attack

I know your sad to see the plan you had in store for me
Did not bring me to my knees nor did it make me miss a beat
Thought you could make me kiss your feet

Now look who’s having the last laugh
Thought you would send me packing my bags fast
For putting your unprofessional a** on blast

Did you really think I would just let you handle me
Like some kind of trash on the streets
Hope you have learned how easily the tables can be turned

Maybe the next time you will think before you speak
Respect is something you earn
Remember that the next time you try to
Address Me
