Lion and lamb
laying side by side
Eloquence cusses like a sailor
leaving mute voices and mouths opened wide

The moon rises and sets
The days aren't nearly as bright
The sun shines when we normally dream
Becoming a confusing nightlight

Loved ones are strangers
suddenly clueless to who you are at all
Enemies know you inside and out
Intuitively responding to your every beck and call

Smooth roads become stumbling blocks
tripping you up with each step you take
Rocky roads somehow easy to traverse
Steering your course, a piece of cake

This world...it's turned upside down
Entire *** backwards, at least the world I see
When oh so much that couldn't be
and shouldn't be
Somehow
Simply
Is....

And when there seem to be
no tomorrow or a change
just a ball of hurt dat stain
every glass , i've watch from sadness
kissing only what i didn't see

As the clouds roll away
what look to be bright and sunny
is da light of confusional maze
i play this picture u painted
deep in da depth of me
yet i'm still daze

I can feel every line word displayed right here u touch da pit of me unbound

And maybe the clouds aren't even clouds
at all, just globs of useless fluff
Designed to trick and conceal
All that sinister, menacing stuff

The moon turns me into a howling beast
and the sun burns each time I try to touch it
This makes my soul scream to realize such ****
My heart aches to the point I must clutch it

Feeling your lines as well Rich, thank you for feeling me here...

In the Spirit of Sankofa!

watzinaname,

WoW! I certainly know what is in your name, Deepness! What a piece, poetess! Several lines really struck me, as highlighted above!
