Was listening intently to what has been said.
Have my own interpretations rolling around
in my head.
Of what is relevant and important and valid.
And most of us running around chasing money
like we rabid.
Don't get mad , I know we got to have it.
But don't forget , that it's not everything.
So listen to this "Sum of Purpose that this
poetess would like to sing!
Getting up every morning with a prayer in your
heart.
Thanking a creator is a powerful start.
Recognizing that the struggle rages on.
As you put on your Gucci and Versace and
brush that hair that's not your own.
Plan to do something for someone just because.
Don't get mad at me, it was apart of God's laws.
Going to work with a good attitude, taking time
to thank the Janitor , the food service people
and trying not to be rude.
Coming home with the knowledge that your job
is not done. Have you sought anyone out who
is lonely, or a soul have you won? Pick up the
phone or visit a neighbor, sit on the porch and
the sunshine you savor. Count each blessing
and each loss, realize, the "Sum of your Purpose"
and tally up the cost. It didn't cost you anything
when you waved hello to that child, it's doesn't
cost you anything to give away a smile.
Premise and Purpose, and Strategize all you want
they mean nothing if you don't move to action
and leave no stone unturned, til you have learned
that forgiveness, is not for the other person, it is
for you. That lifes purpose is not about the job that
you do. But, about the love that you give and the
life that you live. And when burdened with regret
makes you bitter and cold, then reach out to some
one and you will find a comforting soul. God never
leaves us alone , to battle this war until we go
home. But chastise his children he must, when we
live our lives in total disgust. No trust, just us, no
peace, just strife, no gain, just vain, no sharing
just blaming, no giving just taking, no sowing
just harvest...
