    The struggle goes on

Our ancestors’ first steps on these soils
Were forces upon them by the western

No choice was given No ticket purchase made
The color of the skin was the price paid

The laws that were written kept the chains lock
The chains are unseen by the naked eye

    Yet

    The weight is felt
    The scars are deep
    The healing is slow
    And
    The struggle goes on

The doubts that has been Placed in the mind...
Are mental chains that’s controlling some lives
But we have a choice, a decision must be made
To mend the road and pave the way

    Many die in many ways
They gave their lives for a better day
The blood that was spilled paved the way
So I bow my head to pray

    And

    Many are born here today
To them they look for a better day
It is up to us to make that way
So I bow my head to pray

    Because

Each step we take paves the roads
To help one another lessen the load
Together we can form a human chain
    Walking together hand and hand

    Don't misunderstand The Western plan
It is still about taking lives and stealing land
Working together we can banish there plan
Because we are wiser yes we can

I've seen doubts and I witness hope
I've seen my people dieing from dope
It's a responsibility that been pass
To take charge of our lives and our daily task

So we have to do the best that we can
    Volunteer and lend a hand
It's got to be more then talk
We have to unite and walk that walk

Just by placing one foot in front of the other
We can pave that road my sisters and brothers

    And yes

The weight will always be felt
And the scars runs river deep
    The healing is slow
    Until we come together
    The struggle goes on
