    mom's old stationwagon,
    brought us through life.
    it's been rough roads,
    dark alley's,
    and many scary nights.
    but mom's old stationwagon,
    kept us through it all.
    3 kids to tend to,
    one sitting quiet,
    2 bouncing off the walls.
    everyday was different,
i can't say it was all fun and games.
    cuz sometimes mom got strick,
    like my friend says,
    she was plain jane.
    and sometimes we wondered,
how mom got through life on a 1/2 tank of gas.
    doing 45 down the street,
missing a cat by 2 inches,
and had never been in a crash.
    but mom's old stationwagon,
brought us up in the world of hard bricks.
    we fought,
    we still fight,
but all love goes into the licks.
and even though it seemed like,
    we showed mom attitude.
    we gave her respect,
    kindness and all else,
we know etiquette--we speak uncorrectly-------but we ain't rude.
and now when i ride down the street,
    in my friends car.
i think back to the days,
when a hand out the window,
    would be anyway afar.
i may not have my family with me,
    or close at hand.
but they knows the love i have,
    they know,
    i understand.
thanks to the lady who brought us up,
    walking heaven's street staggerin'.
my mom's may not be yo mom,
    but remember them,
    remember the stationwagon................
    :spinstar:

This was a wonderful memory for pen to put to paper. There was a lot of hope, faith and love in that stationwagon, and you showed this here.
