The spirit of Africa is
in my blood
....in my soul
Through dance I live and
because I live, my ancestors live

When I dance the
.......dance of Africa
I re-live experiences of my ancestors
Blood, sweat, tears...
Peace, love, harmony within
The dance is what they have given

From Domba: dance of Celebration of marriages, births to...
Doun Dun Ba: Warrior dance/dance of the strong man/woman to...Sabar: Spiritual dance of life

It is me...I...who must
carry on the
Legacy
...History
My story told through
intricate, energetic movements while
Djembe rhythms represent my cries...
"I'm Free! I'm Free!"
Just for the moment, I'm free
The dance of Africa Liberates Me

Bells of free-dom ring
through my limbs
White man can no longer
touch my skins

Spiritual movements come from
deep within...
carrying on the culture
which I live in

AFRICA!! AFRICA!! AFRICA!!
DEMALA JEF!! WOW (I'm hungry for you! yes)
DEMALA JEF!! WOW
Feeding my spirit of
the dances and culture of
Africa cause...

The spirit of Africa is...
in my blood
....in my soul
Through dance I live and
because I live...
My ancestors live.
