I've been reading the I want to remember thread, and I remembered how I've been thinking about the word Black.
Just what it means and, basically how it is used today.
Well first I would like to break down How we came about this Description
    Okay First we have Africa.
When we were dragged from there we probably had the titles African blob, slob, animal, beast, uuh demons or any thing of equal horror
Then when they decided they were going to see us a whole lot more we became African *******(conversations...Information on what is the new trend of America's future)
Nig*ers(probably got tired of dignifying us w/ the first word being African)
    Nig*er B*tch, Nig*er Nig*er, Nig*er children, Nig*er Babies!
Nig*er Beasts Nig*er Slobs,Nig*er Monkeys And anything else of equal horror

Third Nig*ers(I think this term lasted for a while...Probably for a long time)
Fourth I think we were Colored Nig*ers(Dang not African Nig*ers??...Man!)
Colored B*tches Etc. Any thing of equal horror

Then I believe we we just Coloured people w/ the exception of a few still ****** Lovers, We are Now Colored

    Coloured People

    Black People
    Wonder full Black People
Okay so now we have Black people and White people(I think they were white the whole time...Maybe European People or something)

Now Us Black People have a way of Posifying(I know...stay with me) certain words
    such as Nig*a
we take Nig*er and make Nig*a instead, being a nigged or have Nigged or nigg qualities
We,"Whas Up My once Nigged Friend"
(I guess making Light that we will not be treated like that again)
Now Nig*er As I was told when I was a young girl
Is the meaning of ignorance(Well the other way around)
(and I've had a small encounter with the meaning)
Now I don't believe That direct translation would be in the dictionary because of would be derogatory and in a sense saying ignorance is being a ******(and nobody wants to be called a ******...right??)
    But to break down each
******- A black person, whose way unable and stupid,non-progressive state

~ 2. Used as a disparaging term for a member of any dark-skinned people.

Used as a disparaging term for a member of any socially, economically, or politically deprived group of people~

And Ignorance- a person who is in state of stupid non-progression
    and inability

~The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed.~(they try to keep it simple...Please....)

    ~~taken straight from the dictionaries~

    ******- A Black person
Ignorance-Ultimately the state of being Black

Now going back a little we ended up Black people
Okay us posifying(I think it should be a word)that word
is not bad we have strong, unified, bold, mysterious, unable to break-but ultimately breaking down into all colors and all colors building into

But black- sad, "bad", color of death inclined people, misery, and us

Now why is it that we are Black, Caucasians White...But everyone else??
Would we call an Asian Yellow?...or would that be racist
Spaniard, Irish, French, or any light colored person Pink or off white or pale
Is it not simple minded as us being the "Superior Species""Head Kaunas"????

We are not Nig*ers, not Coloured(well we are but not the title)
We are complex African become Americans
And for truths sake we are brown....maybe some of us are a little deeper in the brown chain but all just the same

So why after so many years us fighting taking back what the "MAN",or "WHITEY" took
Why should we take Pride In a given name "BLACK"???????
    The simplest word

    I apologize.........
I was had a purpose of giving in some enlightening
but....I forgot an important point in the evoloving(I consider it devolving)
in our time line of names
We were Negro's(you don't want to know how I remembered I forgot it)
A lot of African Americans consider themselves this
But...... After we were N* words and started to influence and push integration
maybe while this was going on
if we were called N*word wouldn't that be racist???????(the word has been invented)
What could we be called thats would make them feel better about us but still held the point
Now if your not feeling that was the case okay...........
Imagine walking down the street and not thinking you would make it home to see your family..........
    Imagine being denied an education
Imagine seeing your mama get disrespected every day inside of a home where she serves the people
    After all of that
    Are you certain?????????
    Are you sure of life
Are soo confident it everything that you do????????

"Mama, Mama.....Hey you don't have to worry anymore ...except for the Ku Klux Klansmen, the whit people don't call us nig*ers no more!"

    the simplest word...

the word and the color[black]has only been used in a derogatory fashion since europeans invaded africa,in many african societies the color black is a highly respected tone used in many ceremonies,it is only in the last five hundred years that this color has been used to degrade us.

I believe as long as you can speak only a euro language, you will only have negative words available describe any race other than the euro. Language exports a culture, and all terms/phrases are eurocentric.

You mentioned with the word N*ga - it may become a common term with overuse, changing a letter, try to take away it's power to hurt - yet this new term is associated with pimps and ho's - it that an empowering positivity?

Too many Africans in the diaspora seem confused on what to call themselves - names change with the mood of the land.. why? because whatever we call ourselves, in a eurocentric language, will never truly represent.

So what's in a name if all the words are the same?
