The word Black as an expression or description for African American people.
Something that has been scratching inside my head.
African Americans use black as the shorter term for African descended Americans(Although that is not what would come to a persons mind...go figure)
It usually is propose in an casual way at minimum.
"I am Black"
Something that probably gets us a little more proud to be US is our descriptive positivity...speaking of one another
"Ooohh That handsome Black man"
"That sistah iz Fine"(Im sure we know who a sistah iz...lol)
we are proud of our shape, sizes, and being
Which iz soo good, but something we are desperately lacking in today's society
But that not my point
When we speak of our sevles as I said it is usually a casual manor, maybe because it's ourselves we are speaking about
Have you ever listened to a person of a differed race say "Black"
"Are you BlaCK"
"I know a lot of BlaCK"
"That is a BlyaCK man"(Quietly of course)
I think it's getting so easy for them to begin announcing an African American person(no matter Who) As "BLAHCK"
"BLAHCK" is the sound you make when you get gum on your shoe,
when you swallow a bug
Is that how we should be refered to
I am not proud to be BLAHCK
A little off here but I had a Caucasian Pastor say to me that if I knew any under privileged kids w/o money to send them there(they are doing a Christmas event...charity) Now he is "not racist"...but wow. I couldn't be upset(yes I could) but I just could not believe it....
