it’s those quiet ones that you have to worry about
something always in their head tossing around
they’ll have you fooled and that’s for sure
but their silent words can cut like a sword
these poets express in flowing rhymes
with varied lyrics and speech that chimes
like a stream of water the thoughts just drop
and it happens so fast that it can’t be stopped
language conveying what you are afraid to say
like chronicles of love, pain and dismay
constantly defining the incomprehensible
while making you desire the unattainable
meanwhile you praise them in “awe”
for telling the tale completely without flaw
and their only purpose was just to vent
the words from their heart that were heaven sent…
and i say this all simply to discover
that I am like the silent poet uncovered…
