    We both signed our names
    at the bottom edge
    next to the dotted line
    The purchase price
    for happiness was
    thought to be
    LOVE
    worn thin and
    running out of time
    because we
    had bought into
    sexual activity--
    infatuations of lust
    compromised
    percieving the other
    in mental states we'd
    most like to see
each of the other to be...

    I -- relationship material
    U -- just the panties ~

    Never once did we
    read the terms
    of endearment
    Keeping quiet behind
    the moans of
    our physical presence
daring not to say a word
    time after time

    2 signatures validating
    an open secret
    Writing lies by the "X"
    with no rules to follow;
    no further instructions

    Why didn't we bother
    to read the fine print?

    Assumptions, presuming
    that we didn't think
    twice
For me to love you when
    you weren't interested
    in a wife

    Overlooking the fact
    that we are vastly
    different
    Romantic Phases
    that encountered:

    I -- seeking a husband
    U -- a playmate~

    Failing to recognize that
    we'd never meet each
    others' needs
    we continued to go
    forward where we
    could never succeed
    together
    Confusing directions
    upsetting the heart
    goals that are two
    worlds apart

    This silent agreement
    that we both have
    signed is taking
    a toll on my spirit,
    capacity, integrity,
    and on 'love' itself

    ...It's a crazy shame
    but, for some strange
    reason ~
    I thought
    we
    were compatible ~~

    i should've read
    the fine print
i even see that you didn't indent
    i thought
    it was meant to me
    you and me
    and now this silent agreement
    has gotten me bent
    waaay back.....

she sued me for breach of contract

this was another one of your platinum creations

    peace.

    truth

I think we sometimes rush to sign on the dotted line, hoping against hope that the intentions of each party's heart is somehow already 'understood'.

In all things, actions still speak loudest.

Very thought provoking. WELL said, poetess!

    have you ever noticed

that the fine print is usually the bottom line?
