***this is an oldie but def. one to refresh your mind =)

Removing the lies to find the truth,
About ME,
About life,
And about YOU!
Yet I find nothing except more lies that equals to less truth
And brings less hope for the future, for me and you.
See, one lyric can make a change,
And one gaze into ones eye can make a lie seem so significant,
When knowing that a lie is still a lie
And the truth is just a lie covered up in gold or maybe silver
Depending on what makes you quiver.
It’s the significance of a lie that makes you sick inside
Sometimes it even fools you into believing
Then turning around to slap yourself for being so foolish
Whether you want to admit to it or not
That person who fooled you deserves props
For deceiving a “smart” individual like you.

Now that I am becoming a woman
I begin to distinguish a boy from a man
And
A little girl from a grown a*s woman
I am beginning to distinguish old petty conversation
From more deep and intellectual conversation
No more “One” when I hang up the phone, dropping it from my cold hands
But, instead, I sing, “Until we meet again...”
YES! It’s time for a change
If not physically
It has definitely got to be mentally
Because that’s all we really have in this skeptical world
OUR MINDS
and it takes time
To know that in time you will be content with YOU
Never give up on searching for the truth
Because the one that is holding it, might be you
