Anyone heard or read of this abomination? Latinos stealing African orisha deities for their own profit. This man had the nerve to co-opt some of the more popular orishas for his own gain and make them Mestizos. Shango, Oya, and Eshu being some of them. It's been out for a while now. Since I can't post the link due to my post count, here's the site. The name of it is santerians.com

The site and whoever that guy was on the clip indicated that it was about their Afro-Latino heritage. It mentions Africa and the Caribbean there. The problem is that there is not an Afro between them. Black people have allowed nonblacks to steal the identity such that they are plastering their own images on historically Black/African icons, and therein lies the REAL problem.

    That's good!

Marvel did that cause they kno they are dealing with a politicaly soft generation

Africans traditionly have no racialist attitudes an as you see there are no and have been no
    proests from the Nigerian Yoruba
    Councils

Santeria for both Blacks and Whites in NYC for over100 years had and have used white saints
still, even in a nation of religious freedom to represent the Orishas

Now as a Christian and a childhood comic fan, that read Thor and Hercules by Stan Lee,
for me personaly it is an afront to make the Orishas white

becuase back in the 60s when I was a child

Marvel knew they would have to make them all Black and with Afrocentric attire,
cause back then we didnt play
and we had the Black Panther Comics
at the time of the Black Panther Party

no matter how many politicians protested

we should have done it first. a lot of stories have been stolen or altered and people have largely profited from them. "underestimating the wealth of their own wisdom"
