The only info that I have about the Egbe priest is that they deal with the spiritual doubles of the person that dwell in heaven and earth, hell? Does anyone know and are willing to break down what exactly the egbe priest/ess do?

Never having been initiated into Egbe i can only guess that roles and responsibilities are not like that of any other cult of Orisa. Egbe is the Orisa who provides over an inviduals "astral clan" as it were.

Orisa Egbe requires Iwure, oriki, orin, adimu and on occassion ebo. There are men and women who can and receive Egbe without being initiated into its cult. Similarly Ogboni, Awon Iya Wa and Iya Aye are cults/egbe whose members carry out checks and balances operating from the astal plane.
