    the celebrated homecoming,
    of wounded and bruised.
    lines of endless armies,
crosses over pain lands like laces in shoes.
the joyous sound is not so joyous,
    neither is it a sound.
but only the soldiers of brothers returning,
once again to break the shackles bound.
    "Fight the system,
    let freedom ring"-------is wanted----not as a choice.
and the activist act with action,
to prove that they do have a voice.
    battered and scorned,
ridiculed and killed--because wrong is sought as light.
    put in jail--put in cells,
    because they wanted their rights.
    maybe it wasn't as peaceful,
but peaceful ways were tried and failed.
but the Black Panters and other parties,
    always prevailed.
and now here it is the homecoming,
    of wounded-bruised-but still living.
    and lines of endless armies,
crossing over pain lands like laces in shoes--but they're winning.
the joyous sound is not so joyous,
neither is it a sound because now there's partial peace.
but it's only the soldiers of brothers returning,
once again to break the shackles bound--that continues to chain their feet...WELCOME BACK TO 1975,
    a time of non-justice.
where the color of ones skin,
meant that they couldn't be trusted.
a brand new decade is it not,
2005 yet 1975 does it seem.
those armies of brothers marching in--marching out,
    as careless teeth gleam.
    the struggle the battle,
not the war--is heard--but how loud?
    we progress--we move up,
but leave in the past many in shrouds.
we forget you not i promise you,
all of the harsh treatments you did accept.
    1975 returns again,
    or maybe it never left......

Very nice drop. Maybe 1975 never left? This speaks about those before us that will never be forgotten. I hear it load and clear. March on armies to come.
