Okay so you are essentially speaking of original Palestinians/Canaanites or what have been labeled as the Hamitic 'races'. This is to say Afro-asiatics which later mixed with lighter races.

    ARABS IN THE BIBLE

    By Malik Ali

In arguing their case against the Biblical prophecies of the Prophet of Islam in the Bible, many of the learned (and ignorant) Christians have resorted to speaking of the Arabs as an alien entity, as if they resided on the North American continent or Australia; far far away from all the Biblical scenery mentioned in the Bible.

As if the Hebrews had no more than scant knowledge about their Arab brethren, then the Eskimos of Alaska had about the Zulus of South Africa. This is shown by the fact that the issue is not brought out into the open for discussion.”

“It always surprises me that the Christians will go to such lengths to prove to the Jews that Jesus (Peace be upon him) is the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament of the Jews. And at the end of the day, the Christian is disheartened at the stubbornness of the Jews; why are they so blind to the many clear prophecies in their books retorts the Christian.

But a boomerang effect is in motion here, the Muslim in turn is stunned at the Christian stubbornness in refusing to see the prophecies foretelling the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). As well as Islam, the faith that was practiced by all the Prophets of the Bible. “

One is only blind if they choose to be, in light of the Bible. It is difficult to dismiss the Arabs as a a people that is outside the Biblical spectrum; that is made difficult for the very fact that Arabs and Jews inhabited the same region: THE MIDDLE EAST.

The ulterior motive of the Christian being that, if Arabs in the Bible are overlooked, it will diminish the prospects of biblical prophecies foretelling Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).

As I intend to show, the Arabs formed an important component in the trade and commerce, wars, and so on of the region as did the Jews in those very same events and the normal everyday life. Much of what is stated here is based solely on the Bible..

    In the Beginning

The book of Genesis gives the earliest accounts of the Arabs. Many know the story of Isaac and Ishmael. But it is important that we restate them again…

“Abraham had a son Ishmael via his Hagar, his wife. As the Bible states “

“…gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife

    Genisis 16:3 “

Not his mistress or concubine, his wife as it clearly states. Hagar, a humble Egyptian maid was to give birth to Ishmael. The progenitor of the Arabs, the Bible goes onto say that Ishmaels descendants would form a great nation. And they would dwell among their brethren (the Jews).

Hagar was to take for her son, a wife out of Egypt. Ishmael gave birth to twelve sons. One of them being Kedar (Genesis 25:13) , in which the Prophet muhammed’s (PBUH) lineage was to come through.

Kedar:…A tribe descended from Ishmael (Gen.25.13)… The people were Pliny’s Cedrai, and from their tribe Mohammed ultimately arose.

“Davis Dictionary of the Bible, 1980 (Sponsored by the Board of Christian Education of the Presbyterian Church)”

“Kedar:…Of the Ishmaelite tribes, Kedar must have been one of the most important, and thus in later times the name came to be applied to all the wild tribes of the desert. It is through Kedar (Arab, Keidar) that Muslim genealogists trace the descent of Mohammed from Ishmael.”

    International Standard Bible Encyclopedia

“Kedar: (black): Second son of Ishmael (Gen. 25:13)… Mohammed traces his lineage to Abraham through the celebrated Koreish tribe, which sprang from Kedar. The Arabs in the Hejaz are called Beni Harb (men of war), and are Ishmaelites as of old, from their beginning.

    Smith’s Bible Dictionary

The Arabs would inhabit the Arabian peninsula, (the wilderness of Paran, Genesis 21:21 Faran in Arabic).

Not only are their origins of the same source, but the Arabs and Jews throughout the course of time would share a history together in the biblical and even post-Biblical era.

    Galatians 1:17

Arabs in the Apocrypha (the Douay Catholic version)

“In the end therefore he had an unhappy return, being accused before Aretas the king of the Arabians, fleeing from city to city, pursued of all men, hated as a forsaker of the laws, and being had in abomination as an open enemy of his country and countrymen, he was cast out into Egypt.

    2 Maccabees 5:8”

“Now when they were gone from thence nine furlongs in their journey toward Timotheus, no fewer than five thousand men on foot and five hundred horsemen of the Arabians set upon him.

    2 Maccabees 12:10”

“Where the nations of the dragons of Arabia shall come out with many chariots, and the multitude of them shall be carried as the wind upon earth, that all they which hear them may fear and tremble.

“And he took the borders of Cilicia, and killed all that resisted him, and came to the borders of Japheth, which were toward the south, over against Arabia.

    1 Maccabees 11:17”

“Moreover there was one Tryphon, that had been of Alexander’s part afore, who, seeing that all the host murmured against Demetrius, went to Simalcue the Arabian that brought up Antiochus the young son of Alexander,

    1 Maccabees 11:39”

“Wherefore Jonathan turned to the Arabians, who were called Zabadeans, and smote them, and took their spoils.

    1 Maccabees 12:31”

“In the end therefore he had an unhappy return, being accused before Aretas the king of the Arabians, fleeing from city to city, pursued of all men, hated as a forsaker of the laws, and being had in abomination as an open enemy of his country and countrymen, he was cast out into Egypt.

    2 Maccabees 5:8”

“Now when they were gone from thence nine furlongs in their journey toward Timotheus, no fewer than five thousand men on foot and five hundred horsemen of the Arabians set upon him.

    2 Maccabees 12:10”

“Whereupon there was a very sore battle; but Judas’ side by the help of God got the victory; so that the Nomads of Arabia, being overcome, besought Judas for peace, promising both to give him cattle, and to pleasure him otherwise.

    2 Maccabees 12:11

Basically, where ever you see Arabs, Arabians, Kedar, Ishmaelites, Hagarenes is sure proof it is referring to Arabs. Muslims, Christians and Jews will agree.

But now there is a new game, the Bible is very infamous in having gone through innumerable revisions. The verses quoted above are from the King James Version.

In the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), in many parts of the Bible where “Arabia” occurs, they have replaced it with “Desert Plain”.

And “Arab” has been replaced with “Nomad”. Why is this so?, the Semitic languages of Hebrew and Arabic are rich and full of terms to distinguish Arab from Nomad, and Arabia from desert plain.

There is no way the Bible revisers could have overlooked this factor. It wouldn’t be surprising if one of these revisers attempted to argue that they more or less mean the same thing.

And there is probably truth in that; but how effective is Nomad when used as against Arab (incidentally, the word used in the Hebrew Bible is ,arabiy, pronounced “ar-aw-bee” or Arbiy (“ar-bee”), meaning Arab.

The ulterior motive must be questioned here; it’s possible after decades of effective Muslim preaching of Biblical prophecies fulfilling the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The new age of Bible scholars saw it fit to completely dismember the mention of Arabs and Arabia from their “book of God”.

Exterminating an entire race from their Bible in order to distance their scriptures from the great son of Arabia, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself. All these little subtle changes don’t make anyone a victor, those who initiated it. Are the big losers, in this world as well as the hereafter. As Allah warns:

“Ye People of the Book! (Jews and Christians) Why do ye clothe Truth with falsehood, and conceal the Truth, while ye have knowledge?

    Sura Al-Imran 3.071
