THE PROCEEDS OF LOTTERIES ONLY BENEFIT THE ALREADY RICH.

I WAS SHOCKED TO READ THAT the profits lotteries make only benefit the rich. the education subsidies, grants go toward rich students. There is very little mony reserved for poor areas. And most buyers of lottery tickets are the poor. Some win, and next be poor again, as they borrow against the coming checks, paying 13% interest (?). I will research this, and ask you all to post more research about this harrowing fact. The poors are betrayed and robbed at every turn.

Michigan has one of the most successful lotteries in history. The population voted to make sure where all the lottery money goes. Voters in your state need to do similar.

Anyone that borrows against their winnings is stupid.

Wrongheaded means to accomplish big dreams and schemes:

    I. e., it's about whatever is popularly believed, not always true, and another reason some of our calls fall on deaf ears...

No 'easy way(s) out', but also a reason social/political/etc. change doesn't come 'overnight'...

    FYI...

I believe he is saying that basically playing the lottery is not all it is cracked up to be and is more of a pipe dream than anything else.

Hey, I never stated I never play, but I can say I rarely play. I usually wait until it hits 150-200 mil before I think about it and even then I sometimes sit there and don't play. I probably spend like $5/year on the big time lotteries. I have seen people that spend that a day on cigs. lol
