hi guys. I don't know if this poem is actually done. But as of now, i feel finished. i wrote it cause, i am an artist, and a poet, so i thought i'd put the two together.

The Painter, The Poet (his paintbrush, her pen.)

    Sitting over there
    is the young and ample
    artist
    He…is going to create
    give life
    to his art
    He will devour the colors
excluding none to fit his vision
    with every paint stroke
    there is a transformation
    from lines…shapes
    to bodies
    to people
    intertwining together
as if created as one being
    consuming the canvas
    soaking the pages
with this freedom he is painting

    And when he is finished
    he will take this masterpiece
    this life
this dream, that he made visual.
    And he will hold it
    his creation
    his creation…

    Sitting here
is the young and ample writer
    she is going to transform
    evolve into her words
through the use of her pen
    she will relive
    every memory
    every moment
    every thought
    translated onto the page
    until all she can see
    is the reflection of herself.

    She will never stop living
Her writing will carry her legacy on
    She is consuming
    her dreams
    into this writing
    this freedom of hers
    this masterpiece

    She will never be done
but she will hold her life
    into that pen
    she will hold it
    and she will be safe
    in her creation.

Art and Poetry...the ultimate form of expression!

I must second the motion made by 1poet...
This was a burst of artistic flavor,
in every color possible in poetry!

    Nicely done poet!

I think this is a great expression of the feelings of two genres of art. I enjoyed this piece.
