"Few people realize that the origins of a form of Christmas was pagan & celebrated in Europe long before anyone there had heard of Jesus Christ.

"No one knows what day Jesus Christ was born on... So why do we celebrate Christ’s birthday as Christmas, on December the 25th? The answer lies in the pagan origins of Christmas."

december 25 is the birthday of one of our ancestors, the god heru.

i laugh when i think of how we can celebrate and reflect on the god heru on his day; and christians are stuck making up excuses of why they identify their guy with this particular day.

who really has the power, when christians moved the celebration of their god to one of our days? heru's birthday is a national holiday! when exactly was christ born?

let's not demonize "christmas"; let's embrace the original roots and celebrate.

...In order for one to "embrace the original roots," they must know the original roots first.

(cursed heart) - Can you give information/proof on how this is Heru's birthday?

the birthday of heru was symbolically celebrated on december 25, at the end of the winter solstice when the sun was reborn.

    http://www.wheeloftheyear.com/2006/santeriaafrican.htm

this is when heru's birthday was celebrated in kemet, during roman occupation. whether this was influenced by the roman presence is unknown to me.

the birthday's of ausar, heru the elder, set, auset & nebthet were the last 5 days of the kemetic year.
this is july 14-18 according to some, according to the earth center's sidereal calendar this date is actually september 6-10.
the first day of the year was considered the birthday of ra, resulting in 6 birthdays in a row.

(KWABENA) - ...In order for one to "embrace the original roots," they must know the original roots first.

without question. the first step to gaining that knowledge and understanding the original roots; is to reject this notion of "pagan" origins.

too many people expose the "pagan" origins within christianity and judiasm as a whole; but the entire concept of "pagan" is a calculated assault on traditional religious practices.

so referring to "pagan" as something bad, something to be derided; is still falling for the same trap. it still denies the original meaning & symbolism.

instead we need to embrace the "pagan" origins for what they are; which is the truth beneath the lies.

Christmas is based on a roman holiday called saturnalia (the saturn god)...on dec 25 the roman pagan elite would give each other presents then sleep with each other...later on they would beat on there wives and moleste there kids....
