Notice the states (estates) of the realm were represented... not people.
Government is the representation of classes.

    Even more interesting .....

One starts out with a belief some of our relations can and will evolve and grow, above and beyond what our exploiters and oppressors are confortable or familiar with, because some of us had to...

Hence I reject your defeatist attitude and your fatalistic take on our/my/etc. relations on general principles...

    I. e., what some did for us, we have to do for them, e. g. raise their social awarness/political consciousnes/etc.

    FYI...

    Regarding rule by thieves ...

Actor Wesley Snipes is currently serving the last of the 3 years he was sentenced to serve in prison. His crime was not that he did not pay taxes but that he filed fraudulent tax returns. The subtle distinction lies at the heart of how the American government rules via kleptocracy --- rule by thieves.

The historian, Charles A. Beard, wrote that the real intentions of the founding fathers was to transfer the rule of a propertied few in England to a propertied few in America [the class to which the founding fathers belonged]. The rest of the stuff we were taught in school about freedom and democracy and the inalienable rights of we the people is the smoke screen blown out to hide the fact that the kleptocrats rule our nation by stealing wealth [including property, as in the case of imminent domain] from the many under the pretense of the necessity of filling the treasury's coffers to pay for national defense, law enforcement, et cetera [aka the pockets of the Military-Industrial-Complex, the 21st century analog to the propertied landowners of Thomas Jefferson's time].

So, anyway, back to Wesley Snipes. The kleptocrats did not dare convict a high profile person specifically of not paying taxes because that would allow a high profile person with money like Snipes a vehicle to challenge the right of the State to tax personal income. The kleptocrats try to avoid that because they know, just as the many tax protestors have been saying for years, that the Constitution does not give the State the power to tax personal income. The State does anyway because the Congress passed laws [the so-called Internal Revenue Code] giving the State the unconstitutional authority to levy income tax.

Which is a segue into what you posted about the need of the King to have a Parliament [in America, that would be our Congress]. The primary function of the Parliament [Congress] is to give a veneer of legality to the King and the few's intention to steal wealth from the many and give it to the few.

Important in the case of modern day America, the references in the information you posted about landlords and propertied landowners now applies to Banks and Wall Street who perform exactly the same function --- stealing wealth (typically personal income) from the many and giving it to the few.

All of which explains perfectly why our King's [POTUS] first priority, after taking the oath of office, was to draft policy to transfer [steal] over a trillion dollars from the treasury to the oligarchs [aka kleptocrats, aka Wall Street]. And, it explains perfectly why our Parliament [Congress, to whom the Constitution gives the purse strings of the treasury] approved that policy to give such an unconstitutional act the veneer of legality.

I like Charles A. Beard a lot. He is one of my favorite authors. He focuses more on the economic issues (and balance sheets) of the players surrounding the U.S. Constitution.

Another author who I greatly favor is Gustavus Meyers. You'll definitely want to peep the works of both men.
