Occupation
motherhood
a balmy evening in september
shivering from swimming without
toweling off well
hugging my knees
sitting at the edge
watching you in the water
reminded of how much i love you
the sun smoothly envelopes the moment
the evening
the mood
the setting of it behind the hills
at the far end of the lake
coloring the clouds pink orange yellow
painting the sky blue purple dark
twilight stars
you call to me
to undress and join you
as the sun prepares for bed...
i smile my devilish grin and wade in
leaving my clothes behind
to swirl with you
in the orangeness...
