As I talk to people, watch television, listen to the radio or scan the internet, I start to notice a pattern in the psychological and emotional manipulation of black people by "the powers that be" and subsequently by our people, one to the other. Lets take a look at some popular phrases that were used by whites and others, now a part of our colloquial ramblings. "Slavery was in the past lets leave it there." "We need to get over this whole color thing." "We are all mixed, soon we will all be the same." "Blacks are just as racist as whites." "N***a is different from n***er." "Love is color blind." "Africans sold their own into slavery." "We need to come together as one so we can move on." "I can't just say I'm black, what about all of the other blood in me?" "I don't see color." "People of all colors are saying n***a, it doesn't mean anything bad anymore, its a term of endearment." "We are so far removed from Africa...." "Things are a lot better now than they were." "Green is the only color that counts." "We all bleed one color, red." "Everyone struggles, we aren't the only ones." "Racism doesn't exist anymore." "Hip hop is worldwide, no one can claim it."
