From a man who lost his life for liberty equality and world peace like Dr. King,

to a man who has continued 2 senseless, and rhetoric for war with another nation, restriced liberties with a new and improved Patriot Act,
and refused to attend the UN sponsored forum on International Racism, as president of a nation that still maintains and was founded on institutional racism

Brother Ankhur .... sounds like a little bit of hate'n on your Brother is goin on.

You are a man, just like he is a man, why don't you do what he aint doin ... if you feel it's something that needs to be done?

I'm happy for President Obama, let him win, get, receive, all he can for the mountain he has climbed.

I mean, he is the only Black Man that has climbed that particular mountain. You kooda did it, but you didn't.

Now you're hate'n on him ... it aint no good look.

Obama wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

US President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel Committee said he was awarded it for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples".

There were a record 205 nominations for this year's prize. Zimbabwe's prime minister and a Chinese dissident had been among the favourites.

The laureate - chosen by a five-member committee - wins a gold medal, a diploma and 10m Swedish kronor ($1.4m).

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the Norwegian committee said as the prize was announced.

"His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population."

Of Course it's funny to give the Nobel prize to the president of the most corrupted nation of the world but as the same time it's all about symbolism, the world bowing down to an original man! This is again,a sign of our rise to the top as race,so Big Up to B-ROC!

    Symbolism run our consciousness!

My beloved sister I absolutely do not understand how any one can call hating,
for an American citizen to question the validity of a president continuing wars for corporate gain getting the Nobel Peace prize.

In a dictatorship such comments are illegal, are you saying that would be a preferable environment?

As an African American who has picked up the Sunday News a few days ago and seen page after page of young Black men blowing away each other, how can folks talk about an end to Black violence or tell Black children violence is not the answer when instead of bringing troops home this particular brother sees fit to use more violence death and bloodshed and sending more troops, to kill non white people?

Now as a man who has a knowledge of the Nobel Peace prize, one should realy ask the question what would Dr. Martin Luther King have to say
    about the;
    militarization of the public schools,
the extension of the Patriot Act,
restricting many of Black folks hard gained freedoms,
the continuation of the senselss war in Iraq,
the senselss war in Afghanistan and US protection of drug dealers and operations there,
and the new weapons of mass destruction rhetoric regarding Iran.

The philosophy that no Black man or woman in power cannot ever do wrong does not only not help the race, it does not help that person develop spiritualy as an individual.

    With all due respect ,
you realy don't know how much that response sounds like the 8 years of Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh, we had to endure everytime we as Black folks spoke out about the wicked stuff W thought he could get way with in a democracy with freedom of the press.

And Sarah Palin wanted to ban books,
    speech too!!!!?
