"Perhaps its up to consumers to change these trends by demanding engaging characters and new stories that portray all ethnicities more positively..."

Thanks for this post sis TTTC. This is right on time sis seeing as we had the "Angry Black Woman and How to Empower the Self" class meeting with Bro Keita last night. As you know we spoke on the topic of the media portrayal of our people and how many of us complain but do nothing. Indeed we need to have more control over our own definitions of ourselves instead of allowing others to define who we are. There are many of us as Brother SpeakFreedom was saying that have talents and skills in the arts and digital media to make our own productions. We have many positive stories to tell.

You know of the proposal Bro Keita put forward last night to us in terms of a referendum and we are going to make changes sis. YES WE CAN do for ourselves.

    Peace & Blessings Sis
    Bless Up!
    xxx
