My father and I were just talking about some of this this afternoon.. about
how we need to take a longer view.. make a 100 year plan.. instead of
thinking in terms of our own lifespan..
Thank you brother, this post was made so we can amass our positive energy and input for the benefit of the national community, and hopefully many who care about our Race, will post ideas strategies and items for the agenda, to get input from sisters and brothers around the nation

I have to ask. If someone among our ranks were to come up with a National Black Agenda, how many of us would take heed to it, and how many would reject it because they didn't come up with it? I remember someone tried that a few years ago, and I'll bet most of us rejected it because it didn't come from who we thought it should have come from. Until we put aside our petty differences, I don't care how many National Black Agendas we come up with, it's just not going to work. It's so true that we need one, but we have to be willing to work with it if it's a good one and not discard it just, for instance, the person or persons don't share the same religious faith as we do. "Divided we fall, United we stand.

that seems to me to be a concern for the next stage... this stage, I believe,
is about creating. It's about taking everything you just said into account during
the process of creating a new proposal.. those things you mentioned are
not actually reasons why we shouldn't bother.. they are challenges to be
overcome through bothering.. through acting.. and those things that you
said, are exactly the kinds of things that we would need people to come and
share.. let us know why you think it couldn't work and those things can be
listed as challenges to be overcome through a long term plan..
One thing I know for sure.. is that they only way to know when the time is
right, is to try. And as far everyone not being onboard with something,
well that's life.. everyone is not going to see what you are trying to show
them.. and if they don't, they don't.. we can't stop trying.. we have to
add that to the list of challenges to be overcome..

I believe everything you said is true to a degree.. but I actually don't see
the disunity that so many other folks speak of.. what I see is a lack of a
reason to unify.. not that there are no reasons.. their are plenty of
reasons.. but their are, to my knowledge, no coherent causes that have
framed the reason to unify in such as way that a major majority
of black folks feel that they must join the cause.. So, from my perspective,
it's a matter of properly .. or I should say.. effectively framing the problem
within the context of a proposed solution.. that's what will get folks motivated to join a
cause.. What I see alot of is: the framing of problems.. in the context of
how bad they hurt us... or in the context of how evil they are.. but see
the context that gets folks going is the context of a realistic workable
solution. So that we're not just commiserating.. but actually implementing a
well thought out solution to a properly framed and clearly defined
problem.. and not just pointing the same stuff.. again and again and again..
