We complain about the lack of a good brotha
We moan and groan and grumble about the playa
We rant and rave to no end, about the wannabes
Bout them there no good baby daddies
Women, reality check don’t you see what I can
The Miseducation of the Black Man
We have taught them to be this way
From the womb we taught them all the things to say
Calling each other ***** and Hoe
How else should they act this is all they know
Dis respecting ourselves hatin on each other
Can’t get mad at our kindred brother
Like a cat he copies every movement and gesture
Learned the ways of the female and turned into a woman hater
Now not all the teachings of the Black Man
    Have gone as planned
There are those I call true
Who open doors and and gives good love too
There are those who have made me proud
Who have respected and cherished and said out loud
How they love me and need me and would never let me down
Who when asked for my hand even kneeled on the ground
You see we as women can’t dare complain or stray
Cause we made them the dogs that they are today
Although there are few and far between
And there barks are loud but not really mean
We are their teachers we’ve showed them the way
When I see the tears and the pain all I can say
I blame ourselves cause there’s no one who can

Now Ain't Dat A Different Angle

I have to agree with Alyce on the statement she made. My former pastor once said that the reason we have so many sorry men, is because we have so many sorry women. I strongly disagreed with him. I always felt that the reason we had "some" sorry men is because we have "some" sorry daddies who teach there sons to be the dogs they are...all colors. But now that I've read this piece, I see how "some" of the sistahs have played a part in this.

Thanks for sharing such a thought provoking poem.

Thank you all for the read

I have actually taken the time to think this one out,
cause I have met some trifling negroes out there ! But I have also met some sweet, caring genuine men as well. I got to thinking what makes a man the kind of man they are ?
I have come to the conclusion that the sisters have playd their part as well ! Now we are not totally to blame, but some of us have helped with some of the dawgs out there
