what up fam, it's been awhile since i posted anything in here but i've been around this is the most current

    (inhale)
I want to write about a lover that loves not me anymore but cant will my pen to interpret betrayal that vaporizes whenever he apologizes
    not quite the nice guy
    but
good intentions do buy brownie points and not much else
he tries to encourage anarchy against my common sense that to commonly gets misplaced whenever “Baby, I love you” eeks out his arsenal of futile phases that I can afford to pay attention to only because of a surplus
atonements devoid of any value accumulate like pennies only worthy whenever I’m broke/n
never balancing his accounts I swear he’ll overdraw one day
surviving my muse might mean losing my religion
    something I sacrificed for
something that burned a hole all the way to the core of me
leaving his imprint smoldering against my walls
I am consequently branded by his graffiti
    tattered is my psyche
beautifully disfigured and fading from the elements that occasionally devastate me
he cries a monsoon and I drown among vibrant colors that once painted a picture of what we were supposed to be
infinitely defeating any sunset in comparison
I strain myself to look at it eyes wide open just before I’m blinded again
    eclipsing back into retreat
recovering my for-get-me-not melodies until I run out of pedals and don’t like the outcome
here he is, set upon a pedestal, polished like the shiny **** that catches your eye from a distance
    all outrages with his swagger
the ever so confident mother loving son erodes from conflicting agendas
(he loves me but needs me to understand that if I ever needed him just leave him a message after the beep and if he gets it because sometimes only booty calls get through, don’t catch an attitude he just had other things to do)
I am often left afraid I’ll never love like this again
    so open and vulnerable
    so sheltered and unprotected
heaving out emotions that sit heavily on my chest
    caving in my heart
repeating in an attempt to justify just about everything just one more time
telling him even though it hurts
    I
    forgive
    you
    (exhale)

There can be pain in forgiving, cause you wonder if that which you forgave is going to happen yet again...You conveyed these feelings strongly poet. Well written scribe.

    live again

Forgiveness is the beginning of living again. Don't let the pain take away from your gain. This was a wonderful way to say you forgive someone.

Somehow, reading this piece, I can hear a tenor sax in the background as you're reading this to a quaint coffee house crowd, and then at the very end, your lover comes in through the door, only you and him make eye contact, then you exhale. This was a nice piece.

I could... become recluse inside your work
This poem is representative of what I call "Poetic Embrace"

surviving my muse might mean losing my religion
    ***What a line***

I became entangled in this piece
with no desire to be set free
