in a word yes,
the free education arguement is nonsense and , players should get a pice of the pie.
But Lacross, soccer, volleyball don't pull big bucks. Should they get paid or be left out?

If they can pay coaches upwards of 30 million than they can pay the players, Volleyball and other sports do not pull the same ticket sales , so they are not deserving of the same compensation, hundreds of thousands of fans do not pack stadiums to see Volleyball or soccer.
But the revenue generated from the big sports is what pays for the others. So, you're advocating dumping those sports. Moreover, you want the universities to violate federal law for women's sports. Because that would also disappear. Not to mention many smaller universities being forced to dump sports because of costs
..
I think that those sports can still be supported,If the university of alabama can pay their football coach 32 million dollars, then they can pay their players. I would suggest a deffered pay only accessible to thos ewho are not drafted to the pros. Say if after 4 years you don't go pro then you get say 100,000 as a sort of severance pay. As well a any athlete who's name is being used on jerseys should get a cut, also players should be able to generate revenue off of their name sor peformances on their own, such as Terell Pryor and friends at Ohio State a few years ago.
