    Peace and Blessings Family,

This thread was prompted by this post ... http://destee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=592846&postcount=130

I really like the idea of showing and proving. I'm not qualified to do so myself, regarding many things i say, often depending upon informaton shared by another, but i like it just the same. I think it challenges us to question all things, and take nothing for granted. This could be a really great stimulator of our Youth (and Elders) to dig deep into what we are being told, and verify it for ourselves.

Many times, being able to show and prove the greatest of things, cost money, time, energy, determination, a whole host of things, that we may not have. It makes it difficult for us to be able to show and prove all things, because we just don't have the resources or wherewithal to do such ... but what if we could ... wouldn't that be wonderful?!

This whole DNA talk we hear so much about, in most cases, few of us have any real knowledge regarding such, though we talk about it as if we do. What if it's a ploy, to make the majority think they have knowledge of such things? If it is a ploy, it appears that we've bought into it, lock, stock, and barrel. But what if it is a lie, for it would not be a stretch for those who control such information, as they've done it time and time again ... lied to us.

I remember Brother OldSoul sharing with us that back in the day, before the technology advanced to where they say it is now, we were led to believe that a single finger print could prove beyond a shadow of doubt, one's guilt. Only to find out later, that such technology was not in place, and they were depending on the human eye (prone to error), to make those assessments. Now they have this technology, i suppose, and it's all good ... they've caught up with their lie ... but we were left believing, and being incarcerated as a result, all this time.

It's not that i don't believe DNA exists, there's just been too much talk of it, for it not to be real ... right? But i'd feel a whole lot better, if we were actually able to see the DNA, look at it, determine for ourselves if what the experts are saying, is true.

With prisons filled with us, and all those waiting to be tried in their justice system, having to face insurmountable "physical / scientific evidence" they claim to have ... as a result of all the money they spent acquiring (or producing) it ... that we would want to be able to show and prove such things for our own selves ... or at least ... be able to prove, they are lying on us.

We can't even do that. And we can't afford to argue with them about their technology, for it costs lots of money to do that, and they have what seems to be a limitless amount, when attempting to incarcerate a Sister or Brother.

We're often left with taking their word for the science they present ... believing what they say.

    Okay ... i think i'm rambling ... but what i really wanna know ... is ...

What are the many ways of showing and proving?

What would you consider as acceptable proof of a fact, and does that require you to "believe" in any way?

We've trusted these people way too long, and it's time for us to trust only our selves, and each other.

So let's do it ... let's be able to show and prove ... let's bring out (or become) our own scientists, experts, etc.

For i think, when we do this, we'll find ... we've not only been lied to about Spirituality / Religion, but Science, Medicine, and every walk of life.

    Love You!

Does the term black scientist cause you to think of George Washington Carver? Can you name another black scientist? Although Carver was a scientific giant, other black scientists have contributed significantly to various fields of science and technology. Because history, however, is filtered through the eyes of the majority, the contributions of these great men and women have been generally ignored. Black scientists have remained conspicuously absent from our consciousness, our textbooks, and our classrooms. Please help us popularize these great men and women!

I don't know if I know many ways beyond, I can see it as tangible proof or I can see it beyond that, as with having faith in the Holy Son of the Father.:)

What's acceptable, I can't really say because I'd have to be in the moment to know if I'd deny or accept something as proof. I've accepted many things, but also have denied other things which usually would take for proof. Much goes with it for me, so as I stated, I'd have to be in the moment.

Show and Prove didn't begin with the NGE, this site has been doing that, practically from day one. Most posters here bring evidence to the discussion, and not only that, your rules require links, just not only in direct support of your argument. The show and prove concept is what makes this site so attractive. Folk spend more time reading the information than joining and posting; how many times have I read that testimony from folk, lol. The only problem is that we don't have a way of declaring who presented the better evidence and therefore won the debate; but I'm optimistic its coming. Showing and Proving is all apart of the bigger picture, replacing his-story with truth.

Well, its the concept, as you agree, which makes my point. It may be your lingo, but I've found Doug E. Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, Lloyd Banks and then Inspectah Deck all saying it. So, was it Inspectah Deck first? It really doesn't matter who coined the phrase, what matters is that we show and prove what we talk about, or what we ask others to accept and believe.

"Five Percenters beliefs include the idea of a godlike power locked away within humanity (specifically the original man). Show and prove is the belief that actions are more important than talk."

Since I've shown and proven Precise Allah, its your turn to show and prove the God's and Earth's to be originators or the copyright registration holders of the terminology, Show and Prove.

    Peace In,

First, let's look at your list of hip hop personalities:

Doug E. Fresh - adds on with the Nation of Gods and Earths

Big Daddy Kane - adds on with the Nation of Gods and Earths

Inspectah Deck - adds on with the Nation of Gods and Earths

Ain't none of them been to the "Show and Prove" in years however they have history in attending and adding on with the nation.

    Lloyd Banks - don't know

The influence of our self styled wisdom is undeniable.

The fact that you even went there in the first place was a punk move. You think Destee doesn't realize that black people been showing and proving since we've been on the planet? What you said was a sucker move if I ever saw one. I consider you a few things but I never considered you a hater until today. Your trying to slight my nation will get you no where.

Destee got sparked about a thread concerning the Gods and Earths and here you come trying to take my nation down a peg while you boost your own self up....... not a good look.

Thank you Precise Allah, you are a gentlemen and a scholar, a little misdirected, but nonetheless an ally on the battlefield ... Don't forget though, it was me that encouraged you and Destee to set up your Study Forum, a move which counters and contradicts all the harsh things you've said of me, smh.

But for the record, you have failed to establish (show and prove) the NGE as original holders of the terminology, Show and Prove.

    Peace In my brother,
