Counselor
she called me from the train
nervous, excited
already onboard

and while she was speaking
my mind traveled back in time
when I knew this feeling

but this poem is not about me

my girl is taking the love
train to a destination not
completely unknown
but, to a place, and arms that
beckon her home

this awesome place she's
been in dreams many times before,
shall awaken her soul, when she
steps through the open door

and while she was laughing
my mind re-visited my own epiphany
when I received my healing

but this poem is not about me

my sista is on the train
moving across a rolling landscape of
beautiful country to another beauty
beyond anything her eyes have ever seen

in mid-sentence, the line went dead
but I could clearly see
a young Black Queen in the window seat
riding toward her appointment with destiny

no, this piece is not about me, but

I’ll be blessed by the things
she’ll come to know

when he anoints her poetry

a

My Gurl!!

Only your wise ink would come to know
How much the God of all things liquid
Could anoint my flow
And leave me fully drenched
With my thirst satisfied

But this is not a poem
And it is not just about me...

It is about
"The Old Man And The Sea"
But what does Hemmingway
Have to say to me?

I have been to the bottom
Of the ocean
And now I swim
In all I came to see

But this is not a poem...

*two-fish*

Beautiful flow my sista!!!
